Statement cake without breaking the bank!

Looking to make a statement cake but don't want to spend lots of money on one? Read on my friend...read on!

Cakes can be expensive! I'm not saying they're not worth the money. A lot of the time they absolutely are. A good cake and cake maker are no doubt worth every penny!!

But when you've exhausted your budget but you still want to have that "wow" factor without too much additional cost...why not STACK IT!​?!

This little beauty (that we literally just threw together) cost not much at all. If anything it saved space on the table and highlighted an otherwise standard style cake with stuff we already planned to put on the table!

All the things on each of the levels were either our dessert options for the party or treats already brought for the kiddies attending the party....so in actuality this cake construction only cost us the top level cake....

Other options or ideas I thought of were...

- filling the whole thing with cream puffs

- filling with cupcakes

- different chocolate wrappers for each level

- different fruits for each level

Save your copper coins and make it cheap...

- Similar size top level cake at countdown on sale for $3.50 or from other large supermarkets for under $10

- Make your own cupcakes - when making from scratch cupcakes are a good filler - will add tried and true recipe on shortly.

- Check to see what;s on sale and work around those prices

- Places like Reduced To Clear have larger quantity foods/treats at cheap prices

- Just stack whatever you already have on
